If a book you have on loan is recalled, this changes the date due and you must return it within 3 days, otherwise fines will accrue
High Use books are held behind the issue desk and can be borrowed for up to 3 hours for use in the Library. These are now easily identifiable on the catalogue and cannot be reserved.
Fines accrue on overdue loans and cannot be waived except in exceptional circumstances. Fines on your account may prevent you from borrowing. You can now settle any fines through your Print Credit Account.

The Shannon College Library catalogue has been amalgamated with the NUI Galway catalogue. We have our own local view of the catalogue to search the book and DVD collections in the Shannon College library as well as electronic fulltext resources. You will see the number of copies, whether they are in the library or out on loan, and the shelf number you need to locate the item. If an item you require is out on loan to another user, you can log into your account to place a hold on it so that it is recalled for your use.
